School-Readiness Support for Neurodiverse Children in Pune
A structured inclusion centre in Mundhwa helping children build the skills they need to participate meaningfully in school — communication, regulation, independence, and everyday participation.
What it really means
School readiness is not about ABCs and sitting still.
School readiness is a child’s ability to function in a classroom environment — to communicate, regulate, participate, transition between activities, and manage everyday tasks independently. For neurodiverse children, these foundational skills often need structured, intentional support.
Communication
Can your child express needs, respond to questions, and follow simple directions in a group?
Regulation
Can your child manage frustration, wait, take turns, and recover from sensory or emotional overload?
Participation
Can your child sit in a group, follow along with an activity, and engage with peers and adults?
Transitions
Can your child move between activities, handle unexpected changes, and manage daily routines like drop-off?
Independence
Can your child manage basic self-care, navigate a classroom, and complete simple tasks without constant support?
Sound familiar?
Signs your child may need school-readiness support.
These are the concerns parents bring to us most often. If any of them feel familiar, a school-readiness check can help you understand what’s going on.
My child is not sitting in class
My child is not talking properly
Therapy is happening, but nothing is changing at school
My child gets overwhelmed easily in group settings
Transitions are hard — drop-off, switching activities, unexpected changes
My child can do things at home but not at school

How we’re different
Not a therapy centre.
We focus on real-world participation, not isolated skill-building. We bridge the gap between therapy room and classroom.
We work on regulation, communication, and independence — the things that actually determine whether a child can function in school, at home, and in the world around them.
Based in Mundhwa, Pune — serving families from Kharadi, Hadapsar, Viman Nagar, Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, Wagholi, Magarpatta, and across the city.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions.
- What age group is the school-readiness check for?
- Children aged 3 to 8 years.
- Does my child need a diagnosis before coming?
- No. We work with all neurodiverse profiles. A diagnosis is not required to book a school-readiness check.
- How long is the session?
- 25 minutes. It’s a brief, structured interaction — not a lengthy clinical assessment.
- Where is Aavishkaar located?
- Mundhwa, Pune. We serve families from across the city — Kharadi, Hadapsar, Viman Nagar, Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, Wagholi, Magarpatta, and more.
- Is there a commitment after the check?
- No. The school-readiness check is a standalone session. You receive a clear picture of where your child is. What happens next is entirely your decision.
- What if my child is already in therapy?
- That’s fine. Many parents come to us because therapy gains aren’t translating into school or everyday life. The check helps you understand what’s missing.
- How is this different from a developmental assessment?
- This is not a clinical assessment or diagnosis tool. It’s a structured interaction where we observe how your child engages in a real setting — communication, regulation, transitions, independence.
- Can I stay during the session?
- Yes. Parents are welcome to observe. We want you to see what we see.
