Support for Neurodivergent Children in Pune

Aavishkaar is a structured inclusion centre in Mundhwa, Pune for neurodivergent children aged 3–8. We help children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and developmental delays build the skills they need to participate meaningfully in school and everyday life — without trying to change who they are.

Who we support

Neurodivergent profiles we work with.

Every child is different. We don’t work from a single protocol — we work with the child in front of us, across whatever combination of needs they bring.

Autism spectrum

Children who process social cues, sensory input, and communication differently. We help them build the skills to participate in group settings, manage transitions, and communicate their needs — without masking who they are.

ADHD & attention differences

Children who struggle with sustained attention, impulse regulation, and sitting through structured activities. We help them develop self-regulation strategies that work in a real classroom, not just a therapy room.

Sensory processing differences

Children who are over- or under-responsive to sensory input — sound, touch, movement, visual stimulation. We help them develop coping strategies and build tolerance so they can function in everyday environments.

Developmental delays

Children whose communication, motor, cognitive, or social development is progressing differently from typical milestones. We focus on building functional skills that support school participation and daily independence.

Communication & language differences

Children who are non-speaking, minimally speaking, or whose language use doesn’t match their age. We support functional communication — the ability to express needs, respond, and engage meaningfully.

Mixed or undiagnosed profiles

Many children don’t fit neatly into one category. Parents often come to us before a diagnosis, or with overlapping concerns. We work with the child in front of us, not the label.

Our approach

Neurodiversity-affirming. Real-world focused.

We affirm neurodiversity

We don’t try to make neurodivergent children look neurotypical. We help them build skills to participate in the world on their own terms. Compliance is not our goal. Meaningful participation is.

We focus on real-world transfer

If a child can do something in a therapy room but not at school, that skill hasn’t transferred. We work on making sure communication, regulation, and independence show up where they matter — in classrooms, at home, in the community.

We work with the whole picture

A child’s challenges don’t exist in isolation. Communication affects regulation. Regulation affects participation. Participation affects independence. We work across all of these together.

We partner with parents

Parents know their children best. We share what we observe, build strategies together, and make sure what happens at Aavishkaar connects to what happens at home and school.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

What does neurodivergent mean?
Neurodivergent means a person’s brain works differently from what is considered typical. This includes autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, dyslexia, and other neurological variations. Neurodivergence is not a deficit — it’s a difference in how someone processes and engages with the world.
Does my child need a diagnosis to come to Aavishkaar?
No. Many parents come to us before a formal diagnosis, or with concerns that don’t fit a single label. We work with the child in front of us, not the diagnosis.
What does neurodiversity-affirming mean in practice?
It means we don’t try to suppress stimming, force eye contact, or train compliance. We respect how each child processes the world and focus on building skills that support genuine participation — not masking.
What ages do you support?
Children aged 3 to 8 years.
Can Aavishkaar replace therapy?
We are not a therapy centre and don’t replace ongoing therapy. Many children who attend Aavishkaar are also in speech therapy, occupational therapy, or other interventions. We focus on the gap between therapy gains and real-world functioning.
Where is Aavishkaar located?
Mundhwa, Pune. We serve families from Kharadi, Hadapsar, Viman Nagar, Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, Wagholi, Magarpatta, Wanowrie, and across the city.
How do I get started?

Is Aavishkaar only for autistic children?
No. We support all neurodivergent profiles — autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, communication differences, and children with mixed or undiagnosed profiles.
